Since you are the boss, your motivation (or lack of) will trickle through your employees. If you keep your enthusiasm level up, it will help your staff feel enthusiastic and motivated. It can work as a cycle, helping each other.
A positive work environment is not only important for each employee, it is important to your customers as well. Clients will be more likely to return if they are met with friendly smiles and helpful people. First, figure out what is causing you to feel down about your business. Then make a conscious effort to do the opposite behavior. · How will you track the money? You will need to carefully monitor exactly how much is being spent and on what, and how much income there is. Look into software options and the cost of employing a bookkeeper.
Even acknowledging that you cannot prepare for everything, you should have strategies and ideas in place to help you stay in business once you open. You will need to pay back that small business loan even if you don’t have employees counting on you for a pay check.
Another thing to remember is to open your store along with a website. Allow your business to be online for convenience and for a global presence. Customers in your own town are shopping online and may find they need your product after your store has closed for the day
